Saypha® MagIQ™ was FDA-approved following a rigorous pivotal study of 270 patients with 48 weeks of follow-up data.

The MACRO Core Technology sets Saypha® MagIQ™ apart from other hyaluronic acid fillers on the market. This proprietary manufacturing process creates a stable, cohesive gel that delivers consistent performance and predictable results. The technology ensures high usable hyaluronic acid content upon injection, providing immediate volume correction while maintaining a natural feel and appearance. The filler’s consistent gel distribution allows for smooth, even placement, while the predictable injection force and swelling profile enable your provider to achieve precise, controlled results.

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found throughout your body, particularly in your skin, joints and eyes. In your skin, hyaluronic acid plays a crucial role in maintaining hydration, volume and elasticity. As we age, our natural hyaluronic acid production decreases, leading to volume loss, wrinkles and sagging skin. Saypha® MagIQ™ works by replenishing this lost hyaluronic acid, restoring a softer, healthier look without obvious signs of treatment.

This filler underwent one of the most diverse clinical trials in the hyaluronic acid filler category, including representation from all Fitzpatrick Skin Types with particular emphasis on Skin Types I, V and VI. The study demonstrated non-inferiority to leading fillers while maintaining similar safety profiles, offering practitioners and patients confidence in both effectiveness and safety across diverse skin types.

You are an ideal candidate for Saypha® MagIQ™ if you are an adult over the age of 21 looking to address nasolabial folds or restore facial volume lost due to aging. This treatment is suitable for those seeking natural-looking results without surgery or extensive downtime.

If you are pregnant, filler treatments are not advised.  If you are breastfeeding, you should ask your pediatrician for advice on whether they allow filler treatments. The treatment cannot be utilized if you have active skin infections, inflammation or bleeding disorders in the treatment area. Patients with a history of severe allergies, allergic reactions, or allergies to lidocaine may require additional evaluation. We’ll assess your medical history, evaluate your skin and discuss the details of the procedure in more depth during your consultation.

Your Saypha® MagIQ™ procedure at Schlessinger MD begins with a consultation with either Dr. Joel or Daniel Schlessinger, baseline photographs, and cleansing and preparing the treatment areas. Your dermatologist will carefully analyze the injection sites to ensure precise placement for a smooth, refreshed result that still looks completely like you.

For enhanced patient comfort, our office offers topical numbing before the procedure. Saypha® MagIQ™ also contains lidocaine in the formula itself, which helps minimize discomfort during injection. Pro-Nox is a safe, fast-acting option that clears your system within minutes so you can resume normal activities immediately after treatment.

Using a fine needle or cannula, Dr. Daniel or Dr. Joel Schlessinger will inject the hyaluronic acid gel into the predetermined areas with precision and care. You may feel slight pressure or a pinching sensation during the injections, but most patients find the procedure quite tolerable. The duration of your treatment will depend on the number of areas being treated but is generally quick, lasting less than 10 minutes.

Results are visible immediately following your treatment, though you may experience some temporary swelling or minor bruising at the injection sites. The swelling typically subsides within a few days to one or two weeks, revealing your final result — a softer, more rested expression that moves naturally with you.

Recovery after Saypha® MagIQ™ is usually quick and straightforward, with minimal downtime. You may experience some temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or mild bruising at the injection sites, but these effects typically subside within a few hours to a few days and are very rare in the hands of our expert injectors, Drs. Joel and Daniel Schlessinger. To minimize discomfort and support healing, avoid excessive touching, rubbing or massaging of the treated areas unless specifically instructed by our team.

Apply ice packs for 15 to 20 minutes or as needed during the first 24 hours to help reduce swelling. Keep your skin well-moisturized following treatment and avoid harsh or irritating skin care products for at least 24 hours. While there is generally no need for downtime after Saypha® MagIQ™, it’s advisable to refrain from engaging in strenuous activities, such as heavy workouts or excessive sweating, for 24 to 48 hours following treatment.

Stay well-hydrated, as proper hydration helps maintain the integrity of hyaluronic acid fillers. Most patients can return to their normal activities immediately after treatment, though it’s best to avoid scheduling important social events for a few days after your procedure to allow any minor swelling or bruising to resolve.

The cost of Saypha® MagIQ™ treatment varies depending on the number of treatment areas, the amount of product required and your individual aesthetic goals. During your free consultation, Drs. Joel or Daniel Schlessinger will develop a personalized treatment plan, and your patient coordinator will relay the exact cost of your treatment. Since Saypha® MagIQ™ is a cosmetic procedure, it is not covered by insurance and payments will come out of pocket. To make it more affordable, we offer flexible financing options to help with payments.

How long do results last? Results typically last several months to over a year, depending on the treatment area, your metabolism and lifestyle factors. Your provider will develop a personalized maintenance schedule to help you maintain optimal results.

Is the treatment painful? Most patients experience only mild discomfort during injection. Saypha® MagIQ™ contains lidocaine in the formula to help minimize discomfort.

When will I see results? Results are visible immediately after treatment, though minor swelling may temporarily obscure your final outcome. Your final results will be evident within one to two weeks as any swelling subsides.

Can Saypha® MagIQ™ be reversed? Yes, hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase if needed, providing an additional safety measure.
