What is Cellfina?Cellfina, an FDA cleared treatment for long-term improvement in the appearance of cellulite in the buttocks and thigh areas, addresses the primary structural cause of Cellulite: the connective bands woven throughout fat, particularly in the thighs and buttocks. These tight bands pull the skin down, giving the skin’s surface a dimpled, orange peel appearance, much like a rubber band under tension. The Cellfina treatment uses an innovative, proprietary technology to release the tension of the bands so that the treated skin bounces back and regains a smoother appearance. Cellfina is a one-time, minimally invasive treatment with visible results in as little as three days. The treatment, done in office, lasts about 45 minutes and there is minimal downtime involved in this procedure. Some patients experience initial bruising, soreness and tenderness, but these side effects resolve quickly with time.
